Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 28 at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel, 419 Scenic Drive, Modesto, for Rodrigo Manuel Rodrigues, 62, of south Modesto/Ceres. He passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 29 at Ceres Seventh-day Adventist Church,
1633 Central Ave., Ceres. A reception will follow at the Rodrigues Ranch, 1930 W. Don Pedro Road, Modesto.
Rod was born on October 31, 1952 in Pico, Azores. He moved to Tracy with his parents and siblings in 1967, then made Modesto his permanent residence. One of his many accomplishments was managing the family dairy with his father as a young adult, which led him to owning and handling many rental properties. Rod enjoyed working hard to provide for his family. He married Sylvia Cisneros-Rodrigues in 2000.

He enjoyed family, fishing, dancing and traveling. He also enjoyed being a foster parent; raising 31 boys since 2001.

He leaves behind his wife, Sylvia Cisneros-Rodrigues; his daughter, Deondra Rodrigues; his step daughter, Destinee Hernandez; three stepsons, Eddie Hernandez, Fabian Hernandez and Anthony Miller; two granddaughters, Mia and Bella Hernandez; his mother, Maria Rodrigues; and two sisters, Regina Simile and Cidallia Ramirez. Rod is preceded in death by father Joao Lopes-Rodrigues.
In lieu of flowers remembrances may be sent to Ceres Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1633 Central Avenue, Ceres CA 95307.
