Ronald Glen Moring

June 19, 1959 – August 24, 2022

Ronald Glen Moring born in Ceres on June 19, 1959 to Bill and Eva Moring and went to be with the Lord on August 24, 2022 at the age of 63.

Ron is survived by Ryan (Jana), Aaron, Ross (Lacey), Teddy, and his seven grandchildren, Taylor, Savannah, Rylie, Maddox, Connor, Cash, and Jax, Brother Randy (Leanne), Sheri Zipser; and six nephews and a one niece.

Ron “Big Moe” Moring was born and raised in Ceres and graduated from Ceres High School in 1978. After graduation he proceeded to work for his father at Moring Painting until he retired.

Throughout his life Ron was very active in the community, between coaching sports teams at CYB, CYOS, cooking for all the Ceres Falcons home games with his famous tri tip, and was also a Lions Club member.

Ron was always the life of the party and had never met a stranger. Ron was also very active with everything his boys had going on between trips to the lake, camping trips to Bull Creek, fishing, garage poker games, horseshoes, and backyard volleyball tournaments at Grandma’s. He was a father figure to more than the four boys in the house; as us boys grew up all of our friends would gravitate towards the house as our front door was always unlocked for anyone who needed anything. My dad was such a caring and respected man, and a proud Ceres resident. In the latter years of his life he enjoyed watching all the kids’ births, and anything they were involved in, from dance recitals to football and baseball games. Papa Ronny was always going to be their biggest fan.

We are going to miss you dad but we know you are smiling down on us from heaven, and we will see you again.

We hope to see everyone and share stories at his Celebration of Life at 12 noon on Saturday, Oct. 1 at the Old Fisherman Club, 10800 Maze Blvd., Modesto, CA 95358.
