A funeral service was held Saturday at Ceres Christian Church for Ronald K. Epps, 64, of Ceres. He died March 7, 2011 at home in Ceres.

A graveside service was held at Ceres Memorial Park.

Born July 17, 1946 with twin brother Donald Epps, to Raymond and Audra Epps in Covina, Ron was a 1964 graduate of Ceres High School. He entered the Army in 1965 where he was a military policeman stationed at White Sands Missile Range/Stallion Site in New Mexico. Mr. Epps was honorably discharged in 1967. He married Teresa Gonzales on June 14, 1967. Ronald was a truck driver, working for American Transfer, California Tank Lines, and Chemical Transfer. Mr. Epps attended and was a greeter at Ceres Christian Church for 11 years, and then Central Valley Christian Church the past two years. Ronald enjoyed caring for and showing his 1957 Chevy and had a lifelong interest in classic cars.

He leaves behind his wife of nearly 44 years, Teresa Epps of Ceres; his son, Darrell Epps of Modesto; his twin brother, Donald R. Epps of Ceres; and two grandsons, Jeremy Epps of Tucson, Ariz., and Joshua Epps of Modesto. Ron was preceded in death by son Danny, his parents, and half sisters Virginia and Juanita.
