Ronald W. Tschantz

A service will be held in the prayer chapel at The House Church, 1601 Coffee Road, Modesto, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 21 for Ronald Wayne Tschantz, 69.

Ron went to be with the Lord Jesus and the Father and the Holy Spirit on Nov. 2, 2015. This is something he has been waiting for since Sept. 28, 1980, the day he met Jesus and his life turned around.

Ron was born on April 11, 1946 to Orval and Gudrun Tschantz in Portland, Ore., and moved to Ceres when he was 4 years old. Ron spent most of his life in the Ceres area although after Vietnam he moved quite often. He lived in Reno, Tahoe, and Monterey among other places until 1980 when he met Jesus Christ and his wonderful wife Phyllis White and from then on he was content to live in the Modesto/Ceres area. He was a carpenter for over 30 years and loved his job. He also loved sharing Jesus with those that didn't know the Lord.

Ron is survived by his two brothers, Doug Tschantz of Oregon and Gary Tschantz of Turlock, who was also his employer; eight step brothers and sisters; and several nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife Phyllis.

Ron asked that in lieu of flowers that donations be sent to a favorite Christian ministry to help the Lord's work.
