A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Ceres Memorial Park for Ruth Helen Williams Bays, 89, of Ceres. She died of natural causes on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2005 at Hale Aloha Convalescent Hospital in Ceres.
Born April 6, 1916, Mrs. Bays was a native of Harrison, Ark., and lived in Ceres since 1952. She previously lived in Bishop. Mrs. Bays was a registered nurse at the former Modesto State Hospital for 20 years.
She leaves behind three children, Carol Smith of Albany, Ore., Janice Morgan of Turlock and James Muniz of Modesto; and eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
