A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Lakewood Funeral Home for Sam Henderson, 81, of Hughson. He died April 16, 2010 in Modesto.
Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Born Sept. 16, 1928 in Oklahoma to Jess and Mattie Henderson, Sam was a resident of Hughson, and graduated from Hughson High School. Sam enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, woodworking and making cabinets.
He is survived by his wife Bella Talbert-Henderson; his children, Diana Norman of Oakdale, Janice Boothe of Coulterville, Larry Henderson of Modesto and Rodney Henderson of San Andreas; six grandchildren, Justin Cutler, Shannon Martinez, Ian Cutler, Stacey Boothe, Brittney Henderson and Paige Henderson; and five great-grandchildren.
