A graveside service will be held at1:30 p.m. Thursday at Lakewood Memorial Park for Sharon Lee Cooksey, 72, of Ceres. She died Dec. 31, 2008 in Modesto.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today at the Ceres Chapel of Franklin and Downs.

Born Oct. 17, 1936, Mrs. Cooksey was a native of Hutchinson, Kan., born to James and Nancy Jamison. She was raised in Modesto and lived in Ceres. Sharon later married to the love of her life, Glen Cooksey. Sharon was a caregiver for the elderly for over 30 years.

She leaves behind her children, Robert Cooksey of Modesto, Kerrie Gee, and Billy Cooksey, both of Ceres, and Kathy Borrelli of Turlock; her siblings, Gary and Diane Doty of Modesto, Mary Ann Keener of Ceres, Marlene Saleh of Michigan, and Marvin Doty of Arizona; and her grandchildren, Robert Cooksey Jr., Ronald Gee, Raymond Gee, Richard Gee, Ryan Gee and Rebecca Gee, Amie Rich, and Sisily Borrelli and Tim Borrelli. She was preceded in death by husband, Earlen Glen Cooksey, parents Emmett and Ethel Doty, her siblings, Imagine Britt, Patricia Young, Dale Doty, Jack Doty, Nancy Hanes and Rocky Doty.
