A funeral was held Friday afternoon at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel for Shirley Huline Peek Correll, 71, of Modesto. She died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005 at Doctors Medical Center.
Private burial was at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella.
Born Feb. 2, 1934, Mrs. Correll was a native of Dierks, Ark., and had lived in Modesto since 1943. She was a homemaker and a member of the Nor Cal Ramblin' Recs. She enjoyed traveling in her RV, arts and crafts, and crocheting.
Mrs. Correll leaves behind her husband, Paul D. Correll of Modesto; two children, Mark Correll and Paulette Ortiz, both of Modesto; five brothers, Warren Peek and Gerald Peek, both of Modesto, Wyatt Peek of Waterford, Charles Peek of Ceres, and Roland Peek of Prather; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
