Susan Thompson

April 16, 1942 - June 17, 2017

Susan Thompson passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2017 at the age of 75 in Turlock.

Susan was born on April 16, 1942 to Thomas David Wilson and Alice Elaine Peterson. Born and raised in San Francisco, she graduated from the University of Pacific and went on to receive her master's degree from California State University, Stanislaus.

An intelligent, classy, beautiful woman, Susan lived her life enriching the minds of those around her, teaching at Grayson Elementary, Don Pedro Elementary, Caswell Elementary, and finally as a professor at CSU Stanislaus where she helped teach the credentialing program and even received tenure for her excellence as an educator.

Among her favorite hobbies, Susan enjoyed painting, crafts, and gardening. She enjoyed watching college and pro football, particularly as a "crazy SF 49er's fan," always loud and outspoken during the games. Susan also was an avid reader; there wasn't a day that went by that you wouldn't find Susan with her nose in a book.

Susan is survived by her son, Doug (Sheila) Fox; daughter, Karyn Fox; four grandchildren, Brandon, Tiffany, Kailee, and Hannah; and one great-granddaughter, Cheyenne.

Respectfully, the family has requested that no services will be held.
