A Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 7820 Fox Lane, Hughson, for Suzanne Corine Weststeyn, 47, of Hughson. She died April 21, 2012 at home with family members by her side after a five-year fight with cancer.
A memorial service and Celebration of Life will be held at 4 p.m. on Friday.
Suzanne requested to please wear something purple in her honor.
Born Aug. 10, 1964 in Ceres, Suzanne grew up in Hughson. After she married Bryan, they bought their first home in Turlock. For the past 12 years they resided on their ranch in Hughson with their daughter Kayla. Suzanne graduated from Hughson High in 1982 and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a minor in Biology from California State University Stanislaus in 1989.
She leaves behind her husband, Bryan Weststeyn of Hughson; her daughter, Kayla Rae Weststeyn of Hughson; her mother, Judy Schmidt; her sisters, Kristine Potter, Janette Schmidt and Nicole Trevino; and her brother, Jeffrey Schmidt. She was preceded in death by father Gary Schmidt.
Remembrances may be sent to a favorite charity in lieu of flowers.
