A memorial Mass was held Friday morning at St. Joseph's Catholic Church for Thelma J. Ramberg, 84, of Hughson. She died Sunday, Jan. 1, 2006 at Alexander Cohen Hospice House.

Private burial was at Mount Hope Cemetery in Topeka, Kan.

Evins Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Born April 27, 1921, Mrs. Ramberg was a native of Topeka, Kan., and lived in Hughson for two years. She was a legal secretary for an attorney's office for 45 years. She attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Modesto. Mrs. Ramberg was a member of the Modesto Senior Citizens Club, St. Joseph Seniors and the American Business Women's Association for 25 years. She volunteered for the Health Services Agency, Modesto, for 15 years. Mrs. Ramberg enjoyed travel and reading.

She leaves behind three children, Ronald Ramberg of Topeka, Kan., Sharon Leuze of Modesto and Kathlynn Collins of Riverbank; her brother, Gerald Harris; and six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers.
