Arrangements were made for Thelma Ward Zoppi, 75, of Oklahoma. The former Stanislaus County resident died April 6, 2012 in Oklahoma City surrounded by family members.
Born April 13, 1936 in Arkansas, Thelma moved to Modesto when she was girl, graduating from Downey High School. With husband Bud she owned the Ceres Club for many years. Mrs. Zoppi loved to travel, visit the library, and go to thrift shops. Thelma met monthly for luncheons with her friends, was a published author of three books.
She leaves behind three sons, Michael Welch of Oklahoma City, Okla., Craig Green of Turlock, and Eric Green of Ceres; and nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
