Therman L. Fisher

A chapel service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Lakewood Funeral Home for Therman Leo Fisher, 88, of Modesto. He died Aug. 23, 2007 at Memorial Medical Center in Modesto.

Lakewood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Born Sept. 21, 1918, Mr. Fisher was a native of Oklahoma and lived there 24 years. Mr. Fisher was a World War II veteran serving in the Army for four years. Upon discharge he moved to Watsonville where he was a rancher until retiring to the Modesto area in 1979. Mr. Fisher was a member of the Ceres Missionary Baptist Church.

He leaves behind his wife of 67 years, Dovie Fisher of Modesto; his two children, Buford Fisher of Nevada and Victoria Spangler of Utah; his brothers, Blake Fisher of Watsonville and Wayne Fisher, Willard Fisher and Kirby Fisher, all of Oklahoma; and seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
