Tomas "Tommy"

Enrique Navarro

April 14, 1943 - Nov. 25, 2013

Tommy "Pop" Navarro, 70, went to be with the Lord on Monday, Nov. 25, 2013. He died surrounded by his loving family.

"Pop" was born April 14, 1943 in Modesto to Rosa Zavala and Roberto Navarro. He was a lifelong resident of Ceres.
Our "Pop" was a loyal and dedicated employee of Gallo Glass Company for 43 years. He started as a floor boy and was promoted to supervisor of the hot end during his career. "Pop" took extreme pride in his work and accomplishments at Gallo Glass and never said "no" to getting called into work. When "Pop" wasn't at work he enjoyed being with his family and riding his Harley.
"Pop" was a member of ECV 58 and worshiped at Crosspoint Community Church in Modesto.

"Pop" could be found visiting old friends at Monterey Park Tract. He loved to deliver wine, fruits and vegetables to neighbors, friends and family. When he retired, "Pop" loved to watch his grandchildren play sports and could often be found on a football field or a softball/baseball field. He was a huge supporter and fan of all 10 grandchildren, Sarah, Brendon, Jessika, Rebecka, Mikaela, Jordan, Joseph, Isaiah, Joshua and Mateo.

"Pop" will be dearly missed by his children, Mark Navarro of Ceres, Rebecca Roberts of Escalon, Rene Erwin of Ceres, Jessica Reynaga of Elk Grove, and Nicole Navarro of Ceres. He is also survived by his former wife and mother of his children, Lucy Navarro of Ceres; his siblings, Jennie Sierra of Union City, Rosalinda Modrell and John Navarro, both of Modesto, Polly Lopez of Battle Creek, Mich., and Margaret Galvan of Turlock.

"Pop" is preceded in death by parents Rose and Roberto Navarro, aunt Pauline Navarro and sister Ruth Sierra.
Donations may be made in his memory to Community Hospice, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto CA 95356 for the Alexander Cohen Hospice House.

A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, Dec. 6 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Crosspoint Community Church, 1301 12th Street, Modesto.
