A graveside service was held Thursday at Ceres Memorial Park for Virgil Robert Moss, 93, of Keyes. He died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004 at Bethel Assisted Living Center in Modesto.

Salas Brothers Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Born Nov. 3, 1910, Mr. Moss was a native of Stigler, Okla., and had lived in Keyes since 1943. He was a chemical worker for 25 years, employed by Barium Products in Modesto. Mr. Moss was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Keyes. His favorite pastimes included fishing and hunting.

He leaves behind four children, Robert Wayne Moss of Grants Pass, Ore., Sue Adomyetz of Ceres, Donald Charles Moss of Don Pedro and Bobby Ray Moss of Modesto; his brother, J.D. Moss of Tulsa, Okla.; his sister, Eva Belle Haskel of Tulsa; and 10 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma V. Moss; and two brothers.
