Virginia D. Hanifen

The Colonial Chapel of Franklin & Downs was in charge of arrangements for Virginia Darlene Miller Hanifen, 74, of Ceres. She died of natural causes at Memorial Medical Center on Thursday, May 6, 2004.

Born April 21, 1930, Mrs. Hanifen was a native of Modesto and lived in Ceres for 70 years. She was a homemaker who loved her family, fishing and camping.

She leaves behind five children, William Phillip Motty of Turlock, Jerrie Archibald of Kayville, Utah, Joan Stinson of Modesto, and Mary Ann Warner and Jack Motty, both of Ceres; and 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Clyde Hanifen; and her mother, Sarah Miller.
