A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Lakewood Memorial Park's Riverside Chapel, 900 Santa Fe Ave., Hughson, for William "Bill" Robertson, 83. He died June 9, 2012.
A reception will follow.
Born May 28, 1929 in Lubbock, Texas, Bill spent most of his life in and around Hughson. He attended Hughson High School where he played all sports and was one of the star players for the Huskies baseball team. After graduation from Hughson High School he was drafted into the Army and served in Korea until 1951. He was a truck driver and operated his own business for many years. His favorite activities included skiing, fishing and gardening. Bill's occupation was trucking.
He leaves behind his wife Virginia Robertson; his four children; a sister; and eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
