A memorial service was held Thursday at Calvary Lutheran Church in Modesto for William C. Hensley, 81, of Hughson. He died Oct. 25, 2009 after suffering heart failure.
Born Feb. 18, 1928, Bill loved the outdoors and was a avid fisherman in his early years. Mr. Hensley enjoyed golf and was a member of Oakdale Country Club and Heritage Palms in Indio for many years. Bill was a devout Christian and a member of Calvary Lutheran Church in Modesto. He struggled with Alzheimer's Disease the past few years and was a recent resident of Country Manor within Samaritan Village in Hughson.
He leaves behind his wife, Mary Hensley; three children, Keith Hensley of Oakdale, Gary Hensley of Vacaville and April Houck of Oakdale; and five grandaughters, and two great-grandchildren.
