Why would companies want to offend customers?
Opinion

The way some corporations continue to go woke defies logic.

Anheuser-Busch continues to suffer from the boycott stemming from the backlash of featuring the nauseating man-pretending-to-be-a-woman Dylan Mulvaney on a beer can and thus legitimize his mental illness. The company may have lost as much as $1.4 billion in sales because of a stupid decision by a woke leftist named Alissa Heinerscheid who has since been fired.

Doritos recently celebrated a so-called transgender influencer named Samantha Hudson. If you saw photos of this man you would arrive at the conclusion that he is a tragic figure, a freak of his own making.

Doritos let him go after he claimed to be anti-capitalist and Marxist, released a song trashing the Catholic church, wanting to destroy the nuclear family and sending offensive tweets such as the one in which he said he wanted to do “thuggish things” to a minor and another one involved wearing panties in front of a young child.

One his tweets since removed read, “In the middle of the street in Mallorca in panties and screaming that I’m a nymphomaniac in front of a super beautiful 8-year-old girl.”

The average American doesn’t like or appreciate twisted and morally depraved individuals being celebrated on products or being spokespersons.

As Donald Trump enjoys tapping into Americans’ overwhelming concern that Biden is the cause for the invasion of millions of illegal aliens and is fine with it, Democrats in Sacramento are doubling down on the invitation for the impoverished foreign invaders to flock to California.

Democrats in the state Legislature have introduced Assembly Bill 1840 that would expand the state’s zero-down, no payment home “loan” program to illegal immigrants.

Democrats’ policies make it impossible to build enough affordable homes in California and have driven up the cost of homes. The state ranks 49th in housing units per resident. Yet they want to throw down the welcome mat to illegal aliens and make us pay for it?

It’s not enough that Newsom expanded the state’s Medi-Cal taxpayer-funded free-to-low-cost healthcare system to 700,000 illegal immigrants at a cost of $3.4 billion, but you have folks like Democrat Assemblyman Joaquin Arambula of Fresno saying, “The social and economic benefits of homeownership should be available to everyone.”

Everyone? Even the ones whose first action on U.S. soil was violating federal immigration law? They should be rewarded instead of being deported back to their homeland?

AB 1840 would expand the “California Dream for All Shared Appreciation Loans” program administered by the California Housing Finance Agency. The program began last year but the $300 million allocated ran out 11 days later. The program offers “loans” of up to 20% of a home’s purchase price to first-time home buyers — the cost of a down payment — with zero down payment to the agency, and no payments on the “loan.”

How many of us bought our homes with NO help from the state or federal government?

State Senator Brian Dahle, who ran for governor against Newsom, is livid, saying AB 1840 is “an insult to California citizens who are being left behind and priced out of homeownership. I’m all for helping first-time homebuyers, but give priority to those who are here in our state legally.”

The giveaways must end or the voters should put an end to the careers of these politicians. The state is staring at a $73 billion deficit under Newsom’s failed administration.

Juan Alanis will likely again skunk Jessica Self once again in the 22nd Assembly District.

Alanis finished the primary last week with 22,285 votes to Democrat Self’s 17,339 votes, or 56.2 percent to 43.8 percent.

The two are headed to the Nov. 5 general election.

In the June 2022 primary election, there were five candidates, including Alanis, Self, Chad Condit, Joel Campos and Guadalupe Salazar.

When Alanis and Self went to the November 2022 election, he beat her by a margin of 58.1 percent to 41.9 percent.

Alanis has done a phenomenal job of butting heads against Democrats over increasing sentencing for criminals and drug dealers. He deserves re-election by greater margins.

I used to go with my parents to a private residence in a garage outside of Oakdale and watch them vote. The voting machines were great. You pulled the handle and a curtain draped behind you for privacy and you flipped levers. When you were done you flipped the handle back to not only register your vote but open the curtain back up. It was a neat experience.

We learned that night who won. We can put a man on the moon but we can’t figure out who wins an election for sure for another month?

Well, you can blame the Democrats for that. We all have to vote by mail now and don’t have to show proof of ID of course. They have to wait forever for ballots to roll in and you hope and pray your ballot didn’t get stuffed inside of some junk mail and put in the wrong place.

It’s a sketchy system at best. I don’t like the way we vote and I think it opens the door to a lot of fraud, especially when you’re talking about ballot harvesting.

I don’t let anyone take my ballot to the inside drop-off box inside the post office – the most guarded way of sending mail. I also have signed up for text notification for when my ballot was received and counted but the whole wait 35 days crap for official voter results is annoying.

Six out of 10 third-graders in California cannot read.

Also a new study has revealed California is number one of all states where students are most likely to fail high school.

Experts at QR Code Generator analyzed data from the Census Bureau on high school attainment for ages 25 and over in each state in 2022. These figures were measured against the population of people aged 25 and above in each state to determine the percentage of citizens who do not have a high school qualification. The states with the highest proportion of people with no high school diploma determined the ranking.

Specifically, California has 15.32 percent of 25 or older people with no high school diploma! Our state has 26,866,773 people aged 25 and above, 4.1 million of which do not have a high school qualification.

Vermont is named the least likely state to fail high school – 5.02%.

This, folks, is an indictment on our state school system but chiefly parents.

Here is what I know to be true. Children whose parents read to them regularly – as did mine – become better readers.

There are liberals who would suggest that black and Latino children don’t do as well in school compared to white kids because of systemic racism – their worn-out phrase – but fail to consider what’s going on at home.

The majority of black kids don’t have a father at home. That rate is better among the Latino families but how many of those are from impoverish Spanish-speaking households?

The solution to better education is not with dumping more money into the school system. It’s finding ways to empower children to grow up in two-parent homes, even better when one parent gets to stay home before the child gets to kindergarten. Stable homes make for better outcomes in school and life. Parents should be the best teachers around!

The amount of waste that goes on in the public school system is mindboggling.

Take for example how districts send administrators to conferences in resort cities like San Diego and Monterey and Long Beach – never in places like Fresno or Visalia.

As you struggle to pay your tax bill due on April 15, think of how school districts across the state which have Distinguished School status (Ceres and Hughson included) will soon be sending flocks of administrators for the back-slapping awards gala at the Disneyland Hotel on May 3. Tens of thousands in taxpayer dollars to congratulate one another for making improvements while still falling short in meeting educational standards.

The shrill demeanor of President Biden’s “State of the Union” address was a bit too much.

I wanted to share the thoughts of Frank Pavone who is the national director of Priests for Life. He said:

“President Biden delivered a political speech last night that was dressed up in the trappings of a State of the Union address. But make no mistake, this was a political speech aimed at getting back the base he is losing but needs to get back if he has any hope of re-election.

“He spoke about abortion but of course he never used the word. Democrats don’t want to talk about abortion. They want to pretend it’s a one-dimensional issue that affects only a mother’s ‘reproductive freedom.’ There is no room to discuss the second life involved, the unborn child who dies in an abortion.

“He also lied. One of the guests of Biden and his wife was Kate Cox, a Texas woman who became a media darling for aborting her disabled child. She claims she could not have an abortion in Texas, and Biden said Thursday night it was because her life was in danger. It was not. Had her life been imperiled, her doctor would have been able to perform an abortion. She chose instead to go to court, where the Texas Supreme Court said the same thing: If she was truly facing a medical emergency, she could have had the abortion. Biden knows all this but made his choice: Lie to the American people.

“The man is a liar. The man is a failure and the speech was an embarrassment. We need to understand that this speech gave us a clear sign of what lies ahead in the November campaign.”

Saw something hilarious in my junk email folder.

It was a donation appeal from the Adam Gray campaign written by Newsom. It read:

“Time and time again, House Republicans have shown us who they really are: Extremists who are unwilling and unable to govern.”

I know of no other extremist unable to govern more than Newsom as our great state of California crumbles.

The email goes on: “So with GOP extremism and dysfunction at an all-time high, it’s never been more important to take back the House Majority.”

Has Newsom taken a good look at his state recently? Get back to me about dysfunction when you do, sir.

He goes on: “This is one of the most competitive districts in the country – one that came down to only 564 votes in 2022 – and flipping it from red to blue will bring Democrats one step closer to the Majority.”

Okay, I’m looking at the primary election results and so far Congressman John Duarte is still leading Gray by 5,422 votes (30,114 to 24,692) so I’m not sure it’s going to be as close as Gray hopes. Time will tell. You can bet your bottom dollar the Democrats will pump millions into the race and crank up their ballot harvesting efforts.
