Supporting Davis

Editor, Ceres Courier,

As the November election approaches, I'd like to urge everyone in the Ceres community to reelect Betty Davis to the Ceres School Board.

Betty taught kindergarten in Ceres for 22 years and has over 30 years teaching experience. With this knowledge she brings an important perspective to the Ceres School Board. She understands first-hand how the decisions the board makes impact the students, families, and staff in the district. In her first term on the board, she has sometimes been the lone voice to stand up for what is best for the district as a whole. Betty has the work ethic necessary to follow through on the work required to be an informed Board member. She has spent many hours visiting district schools. While being a School Board member, she has donated money from her Board salary to school libraries and kindergarten classrooms. She has also been involved in activities such as the Rotary Read-In and the recent Virginia Parks School anniversary celebration. Betty is running as an at-large candidate, so all voters in the city may select her to continue to represent them.

Please remember Betty Davis when you vote. She will continue to serve the community well.

Candy Brown,

Ceres
