Thankful for support from the community

Editor, Ceres Courier,

I would like to express my heartfelt appreciation to all who participated in Saturday's (Jan. 14) event of welcoming home Thomas Vanderlaan. It was no surprise that our community came together to support on one of our own.

I would especially like to thank the merchants who have so generously: Cost Less Foods, Reyna's Pinatas Party Store, Hand Creations, Beverly's Fabrics of Modesto, Party City of Modesto, Rite Aid, CVS Pharmacy, Richland Ace Hardware, Richland Market, Bella Tours Limousine Service; Linda Stubbs, Leslie Tate, Angela Durossette, Jaime Carreon and custodians, Dylan Locke, Brett Johnson and Jim Pernetti of Ceres High School; Bill Kearney, Steve Whitney and the Ceres American Legion, and Marine Gunnery Sgt. Hawk and other recruiters.

Thank you again for all of your support.

Rita Trejo,

Ceres
