Bulldogs win twice at nets

The Ceres High girls tennis team improved to 9-2 Thursday with its 5-0 victory over Manteca in Valley Oak League play.

The visiting Bulldogs won all three singles and both doubles matches against the Buffaloes.

McKenzy Harden, Angie Prak, Venus Lopez, Tiffany Ornells, Sydney Featherstone, Natalie Flores and Christina Villavong recorded wins for Ceres.

Harden topped Nicole Osborn 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles.

Prak topped Jasmine Wynn 6-0, 6-0 at No. 2 singles.

Lopez topped Hillary Coleman 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 singles.

Ornells teamed with Featherstone to beat Kristen Teicheira and Cassie Gause 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 doubles.

Flores and Villavong beat Morgan Salsedo and Lexi Ziackas 7-5, 6-2 at No. 2 doubles.

The Bulldogs shut out the Timberwolves on Tuesday, Oct. 9 in Manteca.

McKenzy Harden defeated Michelle Laurin 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles.

Logan Harden defeated Jenna Anderson 6-1, 7-6 (7-4) at No. 2 singles.

Angie Prak defeated Stacy Morris 5-7, 6-1, 7-6 (7-4) at No. 3 singles.

Tiffany Ornells and Sydney Featherstone defeated Mona Ballagan and Tori Hedegard 6-1, 6-2 at No. 1 doubles.

Natalie Flores and Christina Villavong defeated Stephanie Vanni and Mickayla Scott 4-6, 7-6 (7-4), 6-4 at No. 2 doubles.
