Five teams from the Ceres Youth Baseball Organization's Ceres Blaze program competed at the 26th Annual Irvine Pony Memorial Day Tournament.

The Ceres Blaze 11-and-under team posted a 3-2 record en route to a runner-up finish.

Ceres lost 11-1 to the Placentia Bulldogs in the finals.

The Blaze beat Orangecrest (11-4), Newport Beach (13-45) and Saddleback Cowboys (7-5).

Armed & Dangerous of Hawaii dealt Ceres its first loss (8-7).

The Ceres Blaze 9s advanced to the semifinals.

Ceres lost 9-7 to the Irvine All-Stars.
The two teams battled to a 9-9 tie earlier in the tournament.

The Blaze beat Placentia Pony (18-12), French Valley Blue (20-4) and West Hills Warhawks (5-3).

The Ceres Blaze 16s compiled a 2-2 record.

Ceres topped the Irvine Colts (8-5) and Mochis Mexico (8-2).

The Blaze lost to Culiacan Mexico (7-1) and Orange County Hustle (3-0).
