The Ceres Dolphins recreational swimming club finished second overall in the standings while competing at the Turlock Sea Dogs Invitational this past weekend at Pitman High School.

"We expected to take second behind Turlock," Ceres head coach Tracy Bull said. "They have so many kids. There was no way we were going to beat them. We beat Ripon pretty handily."

Ceres racked up 1,4581/2 points on its way to finishing behind host Turlock (1,938).

Ceres bested the Ripon Sea Lions (1,4141/2), Tracy Tritons (751) and Manteca Dolphins (739).
