Dolphins swim club finishes second at Sea Dogs Invitational

The Ceres Dolphins recreational swim club experienced team and individual success while competing at the Sea Dogs Invitational on Saturday at Turlock's Pitman High School.

The Dolphins racked up 825 points on their way to a runner-up finish.

The host Sea Dogs (1,1761/2) placed first.

Ripon (7751/2), Tracy (7181/2) and Manteca (7101/2) took third, fourth and fifth, respectively.

Julia Pata (15-16 girls), Reuven Denton (15-16 boys) and Victoria Silveria (9-10 girls) were the overall high-point winners in their respective age groups.

"It's pretty shocking," Dolphins head coach Tracy Bull stated while talking about Ceres' overall performance. "That's the best result we've had during my 12 years with the team. We've never been higher than third. It's very gratifying. We're really happy with how they performed. We challenged them before the meet."

Individual 15-16 boys
Reuven Denton placed first in the 100 fly, 100 free and 50 free.

Colin Ramos placed third in the 100 fly, and fifth in the 100 free and 50 free.

Logan Kier placed third in the 100 breast, eighth in the 50 free and ninth in the 100 free.

Austin Roberts placed fifth in the 100 back, ninth in the 50 free and 13th in the 100 free.

15-16 girls
Julia Pata placed first in the 100 IM, 100 free and 50 fly.
Keana Miller placed third in the 50 breast, sixth in the 100 free and 10th in the 50 free.

Annie Connors placed sixth in the 50 fly, eighth in the 100 free and 13th in the 50 free.

Lindsey Reedy placed seventh in the 100 free, 10th in the 50 breast and 11th in the 50 free.

Marysa Duncan placed eighth in the 50 back, 13th in the 100 free and 18th in the 50 free.
