Hawks win once in Tracy

Ahead 13-8 at the end of the first quarter, the Hawks were outscored 49-38 the rest of the way. "I showed them how we allowed 27 points on our mistakes," Dickson said. "We're giving games away."

The Hawks compiled a 1-3 record at the 16-team tournament.

Central Valley moved to 4-8 on the year.

"Our execution wasn't there offensively and defensively," Dickson said. "We're young. We start three sophomores sometimes."

Jordan Thornton tallied a team-high 16 points against Franklin.

Parker Griffin, Manuel Garcia and Juan Manriquez added 10, eight and six points, respectively.

Central Valley lost 62-42 to Manteca on Dec. 18.

Garcia had 12 points.

Ja'Quan Gardner collected eight points.

Manriquez and Jaron Dickson totaled six points each.

The Hawks trailed 32-25 at halftime.

Manteca outscored Central Valley 21-10 in the fourth quarter.

Central Valley defeated Delta Charter 63-42 on Wednesday.

Garcia netted 12 points.

Jordan Sek had 11 points.

Manriquez, Amrit Chahal and Thornton chipped in with nine, eight and seven points, respectively.

Griffin scored four points.

Tracy edged Central Valley 62-59 on Thursday.

Garcia scored 17 points in defeat.

Thornton, Dickson and Diego Sanchez tallied 12, eight and seven points, respectively.

Central Valley will stage an eight-team tournament this week.

The Hawks will face Argonaut in the opening round on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
