Ceres High has never lost to Central Valley in varsity boys golf.

The Bulldogs won the 19th crosstown meeting, 174-208, on March 24 at St. Stanislaus Golf Course.

"It's always fun when we play against Central Valley," said Jacob Langan, who paced Ceres High with a 3-over-par 31.

The Bulldogs improved to 4-1 in the Western Athletic Conference standings.

The Hawks dropped to 1-4 in the WAC.

Gary Condit (32), Zac Chapman (37), Jayden Panyanouvong (37) and Jake Nevarez (37) also posted scores in the 30s for Ceres High.

Ricardo Briseno, Jose Castillo and Noah Postley led the Hawks with identical rounds of 41.

Efrain Garcia and Derek Weis shot 42 and 43, respectively.

Langan and his Bulldog teammates didn't feel any added pressure during the crosstown-dual with the upset-minded Hawks.

"It was a fun round," he said. "We try to play our best no matter who's our opponent. I was confident. My short game can get better."
