Ceres High's varsity girls tennis team competed against Central Valley and Pacheco in Western Athletic Conference play last week.

The host Bulldogs dropped to 2-3 in the WAC standings after losing 5-4 to the crosstown-rival Hawks on Thursday.

Ceres High won four of six singles and dropped all three doubles matches during its battle with Central Valley.

Azia Brewster defeated Adriana Escobedo 6-2, 6-1 in No. 3 singles play.

Vivian Moreno defeated Sue Dhillon 6-1, 4-6, 6-4 in No. 4 singles play.

Bella Rosas defeated Gianna Arce 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 in No. 5 singles play.

Shania Evans defeated Mixtly Vega 6-2, 6-1 in No. 6 singles play.

Andria Esho lost 6-4, 6-1 to Claudia Martinez in No. 1 singles play.

Dominique Koeurn lost 7-5, 6-2 to Lupita Becerra in No. 2 singles play.

Sarah Cuevas and Camille Vega lost 6-3, 6-0 to Daniela Yepez and Abigail Martinez in No. 1 doubles play.

Harmen Bain and Morgan Bejaran lost 6-4, 6-2 to Yesenia Bernal-Lareos and Elisabeth Valdez in No. 2 doubles play.

Kayla Sierras and Gurman Bahia lost 6-4, 6-0 to Jocelyn Rodriguez and Nayeli Castellanos in No. 3 doubles play.

Ceres High swept five of six singles and all three doubles matches during its 8-1 rout of visiting Pacheco on Sept. 13.

Koeurn defeated Mariah Moreno 4-6, 7-6, 6-1 in No. 2 singles play.

Brewster defeated Francis Jacobo 6-3, 6-3 in No. 3 singles play.

Moreno defeated Esmeralda Ramirez 6-2, 7-5 in No. 4 singles play.

Rosas defeated Selena Salinas 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 in No. 5 singles play.

Evans defeated Chelsea Cano 6-2, 6-2 in No. 6 singles play.

Cuevas and Vega defeated Marlyn Sanchez and Janette Salinas 7-5, 6-4 in No. 1 doubles play.

Bejaran and Harmen Bahia defeated Carmen Hernandez and Allyson Magana 6-3, 6-3 in No. 2 doubles play.
