Central Valley High School’s varsity girls soccer traveled to Stockton last week to compete in the Central Valley Showcase at Delta College.

The Hawks didn’t disappoint despite competing shorthanded.

Central Valley won both of its games and improved to 6-2 on the year.

“I was a little nervous because we were missing a lot of players due to injuries and work,” coach Miguel Larranaga said. “The girls proved we still have a very strong team. Everybody stepped up.”

Central Valley topped Kennedy 6-2 on Saturday.

Jocelyn Lopez led the Hawks with three goals.

Jocelyn Rodriguez added two goals.

Malina Keomuangchanh had one goal.

Central Valley edged Lodi 2-1 on Friday.

Jocelyn Lopez accounted for both of the Hawks’ goals.

The Central Valley Showcase was staged in front of college coaches.
