Central Valley High School's freshman football team improved to 5-2 on the year and 3-0 in the Western Athletic Conference standings after securing a hard-fought 26-19 win against Livingston on Thursday at Bulldog Stadium.

Hawk running back Jonathan Barragan gained 155 yards and scored two touchdowns.

Central Valley quarterback Gerardo Solorzano completed 3 of 6 passes for 53 yards and one TD. He rushed for 38 yards and one score on three carries.

Solorzano also recovered two fumbles, forced one fumble and blocked one point-after kick.

Wilbert Soriano hauled in a 43-yard touchdown pass. He ran for 17 yards on three carries.

Angel Rico led the way on defense with 14 tackles.

Gabriel Quezada, Oso Fregoso and David Lezama collected 10, eight and six tackles, respectively.

The Hawks will face undefeated Central Catholic (6-0, 3-0) this Thursday at Bulldog Stadium. Kickoff slated for 6 p.m.
