CV boys, girls compile identical 4-8 records

Central Valley High School's junior-varsity boys and girls basketball teams had similar outcomes while competing against Livingston during the final week of the Western Athletic Conference season.

Central Valley's boys squad lost 61-56 to the Wolves on Feb. 16 in Ceres.

Andres Rojo netted a team-high 23 points in defeat.

Dakota Scroggins, Miguel Jimenez, Estevan Barragan and Phillip Jackson had 12, nine, seven and five points, respectively.

The Hawks and Wolves both scored 48 points through three quarters of play.

Livingston outscored Central Valley 13-8 in the final period.

Central Valley's girls team suffered a 35-30 loss at Livingston on Feb. 16.

Sunaina Dhillon tallied a team-high 13 points for the Hawks.

Lupita Becerra, Chetna Kumar, Trinity Avila and Laiza Diaz contributed seven, four, three and two points, respectively.

Emily Almanza had one point.

Central Valley's boys and girls programs both posted identical 4-8 records in WAC play.
