Multiple Placers: Ceres Dolphins finish third at home tri meet

The Ceres Dolphins hosted the Oakdale Gators and Modesto-Stanislaus Sharks in a tri meet on Saturday at Ceres High School.

The recreational youth swim club tallied 444 points on its way to a third-place finish in the overall standings.

Oakdale (793) and Modesto-Stanislaus (458) took first and second, respectively.

Ceres totaled more points than Modesto-Stanislaus in girls action (294-178).

The Dolphins had 21 first-place finishes, 15 seconds, 14 thirds, 11 fourths, 15 fifths and 12 sixths on the day.

17-18 boys

Ryan Calou placed first in the 100 IM and 100 fly, and second in the 100 breast.

15-16 boys

Tyler Padilla placed first in the 100 IM, 100 fly and 100 breast.

Cody Fliflet placed second in the 100 free and fourth in the 50 free.

15-16 girls

Cierra Alvear placed first in the 50 breast, second in the 100 IM and third in the 50 fly.

Montana Bull placed first in the 50 back, second in the 50 breast and third in the 100 IM.

Tori Gunzenhauser placed first in the 100 free, second in the 50 free and third in the 50 breast.

Megan Valenzuela placed third in the 100 free and sixth in the 100 IM.
