After hitting three cars, driver arrested for DUI

A 30-year-old Ceres man was arrested and booked for drunken driving Wednesday afternoon, May 22 after he ran into three vehicles along Central Avenue.

Witnesses began calling 9-1-1 at 2:52 p.m. when they saw a black Toyota Camry, traveling southbound on Central Avenue, sideswipe a vehicle in the intersection at Hollister Street. The driver, Andy Landeros, 30, of Ceres, continued southbound on Central Avenue and collided with a vehicle stopped at the crosswalk at Glenda Avenue. Landeros continued driving southbound a short distance where he collided with a third vehicle. Ceres Police Department spokesman Sgt. Greg Yotsuya said all three collisions occurred at slow speeds and no injuries were reported. 

Landeros was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for DUI.
