Paul Ivis, 39, of Ceres, was arrested for drunken driving and hit and run after his involvement in a two-vehicle crash in the area of Mitchell Road and Whitmore Avenue on Wednesday, May 13.

The crash was reported at 11:24 a.m. and other calls stated that the suspect drove to 2717 Roeding Road. Police found the car and Ivis inside of it and displaying immediate signs of intoxication. Ivis failed a DUI field sobriety test which showed his preliminary Blood Alcohol Content was over double the legal limit. Ivis was arrested on the two charges.
