A 52-year-old Ellensburg, Washington man was arrested Thursday afternoon for felony vandalism after he jumped on a car and fell back through a window, causing over $5,000 damage.

The incident was reported at 2:05 p.m. Officer Gloria Blakeslee was dispatched to the Auto Zone at 2600 Crows Landing Road and met with the victim. After the damage, suspect Darren Virgil Steelman ran away. 

Officers checked the area and were unable to locate anyone matching the description of the suspect. The very next day, the same reporting party called and advised the suspect was back and now sitting in a silver Chrysler Sebring in the parking lot. Officer Jessica Graham arrested Steelman for felony vandalism.
