An alarm at a business in the 1600 block of Herndon Road led an officer to an encounter with a 57-year-old Ceres man who was wanted on a felony charge.

Officer David Whiteside responded to the 9:48 p.m. alarm call and found Delbert Stottlemyre near a dumpster belonging to the business where the alarm went off. A records check revealed Stottlemyre had a felony warrant for his arrest. He was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for the warrant.
