Ceres man, 55, charged with DUI

A 55-year-old Ceres man will be in court to answer charges that he was intoxicated while driving over the weekend.

Jose Medina was arrested in an 11:20 p.m. traffic stop made on him by Ceres Police Officer Tyler Wilson for code violations in the area of Mitchell and Hatch roads. The smell of alcohol was on his breath and he exhibited signs and symptoms of being drunk. A series of field sobriety tests confirmed the officer’s suspicions and Medina .was arrested for DUI. He later provided a breath sample that showed his blood alcohol content was over double the legal limit. Medina was later booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
