An early Friday traffic stop for a vehicle with expired registration led to the arrest of a passenger, a Ceres man who was wanted for a felony warrant for a burglary charge issued by Turlock Police Department.

At 1:23 a.m., Officer Eric Souza stopped a silver-colored Nissan Xterra in the 2900 block of Joy Avenue and recognized passenger Matthew Roberts, 50, of Ceres, from prior contacts. Once the warrant was confirmed, Roberts was arrested and booked on the warrant.
