Ceres Police arrested a 39-year-old woman on Tuesday, April 22 after two men alleged she poisoned a beverage.
At approximately 11 p.m., officers investigated the report of two older men who suspected they were poisoned with illegal narcotics. Officers collected separate statements to which the men believed they were poisoned at around noon and completed a drug test to support their concerns around 8 p.m. After matching test results came in, officers were contacted. During the investigation, statements were collected with evidentiary samples, and an arrest was made on Nickelle Clowers, 39, of Ceres.
During a search, Clowers was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, the drug suspected to poison the males. Clowers was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of poisoning another, possession of a controlled substance, and violation of a domestic violence restraining order.
