When Officer Brittney England told Alexis Peraza, 22, of Ceres, that he was going to be issued a citation for a misdemeanor charge on Wednesday, July 16, he got upset and began fighting her. At one point during the 10:51 a.m. altercation near the Quik Stop at Service and Morgan roads, Peraza grabbed the officer's Taser belt and tore it loose to the ground. England handcuffed him and instead of just giving a citation was charged with resisting arrest and assault on a peace officer.
