Police are investigating the window-smash entry and burglary of a Hatch Road clothing store that was reported on Monday morning.

Ceres Police Department spokesman Lt. Chris Perry said the break-in occurred sometime in the night or morning after thieves shut off the electricity outside Neo-X clothing shop, 1560 Hatch Road, to disable the alarm system. The thief or thieves smashed the window, gained entry and made off with $250 stored inside the cash register.
