Crash at park ends in DUI arrest

Ceres Police arrested a woman early Thursday morning after she allegedly drove her car while intoxicated and crashed into a pedestrian "walk/don't walk" sign on Hatch Road at the entrance to Ceres River Bluff Regional Park.

The crash occurred at 3 a.m. while the car sustained major front-end damage and came to rest on the north side of Hatch Road near the intersection with Booth roads. The car nearly ended up in the drainage pond in front of River Oaks Golf Course.

Officers determined that Gabriela Brambila, 26, of Modesto, was intoxicated and her blood alcohol level was .22 percent. She was arrested and booked at the Stanislaus County Women's jail on charges of DUI and DUI with a Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC) above .08 percent.
