A minor crash near Ceres High School on Friday morning was due to an intoxicated driver, said Ceres Police Department spokesman Sgt. Greg Yotsuya.

At 11:23 a.m. Officers Nathan McGough and Kyle Morris were sent to the intersection of Central and Whitmore avenues regarding a minor crash involving three vehicles. The collision was determined to have been caused by driver Ruben Haro, 42, of Modesto who ran into the rear of the car in front stopped for a red light. The car he struck was pushed into the vehicle in front of it.

Haro was found to be under the influence of alcohol and placed under arrest for DUI.
