Speed and reckless driving were factors in Friday's crash of a car into a parked car and house in the 1800 block of Myrtlewood Drive.

The crashed happened at 10:03 p.m.

Angela Ibarra, 35, of Ceres, was driving home in a 2007 VW Passat, travelling westbound on Acorn Lane when she failed to stop at the stop sign. She said she intended to turn north onto Myrtlewood. An independent witness estimated that Ibarra was traveling over 60 mph. She lost control of the VW, went over the sidewalk and into the property at 1825 Myrtlewood Drive. The car crashed through a white picket fence, into a parked car in the driveway and came to rest after hitting the corner of the garage.

Ceres Police Department spokesman Sgt. Jose Berber said Ibarra was not under the influence and was cooperative with officers investigating the crash. She may be cited at the conclusion of the investigation, said Berber.
