A 23-year-old Merced man driving in Ceres on Tuesday, April 9 was arrested by Ceres Police for a felony warrant for his arrest.

Officer Tyler Wilson was patrolling the area of Mitchell and Rhode roads at 10:19 p.m. when he stopped Joaquin Alvarez in a Chevrolet Silverado for vehicle code violations. During a records check, it was determined Alvarez had a warrant. He was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center.
