Two brothers were arrested on Thursday, Jan. 15 after they showed up in boxer shorts at the AM/PM on Mitchell Road and appeared to be heavily intoxicated.

Police were called at 6:06 a.m. after driver Claudio Cortez, 41, of Ceres, and brother and passenger Alvarado Cortez, 53, of Modesto, appeared to have trouble finding the gas tank as they stood outside a blue Toyota Corolla wearing boxers. Alvarado was reportedly also wearing a Raiders ball cap.

Claudio was behind the wheel when officers arrived. Both were contacted and appeared to be highly intoxicated.

Claudio Cortez was arrested on charges of DUI while Alvarado Cortez was taken in for an outstanding warrant for making a prior criminal threat.
