A 30-year-old man who was causing a disturbance inside a business near Hatch Road and Richland Avenue on Monday morning was determined to be on drugs as well as carrying around methamphetamine.

At 10:44 a.m., Officer Nicolas Welsh and Officer Tony Scopesi were dispatched to the store and found Troy Giamona, 30, who appeared to be drunk. Giamona was found to have an illegal substance and drug paraphernalia on him.

While Giamona was being booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of a controlled substance for sale and possession of drug paraphernalia, custodial staff found him smuggling in a large amount of suspected methamphetamine. An added charge of bringing a controlled substance into the jail was given to him.
