Drunken parolee arrested in shopping center
Ceres Cop Car

An intoxicated Raymond Eloy Chavez, 30, of Ceres, was arrested Dec. 19 after others inside the Whitmore Avenue Taco Bell said he was trying to grab their food.

Police responded to the 6:03 p.m. call and discovered that Chavez was on parole for robbery and had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant issued by Modesto Police for public intoxication. Officers found Chavez in front of the nearby Bank of America and said he was trying to get enough money to buy a bottle of alcohol.

Raymond was arrested and booked for the warrant and for public intoxication.
