Ceres Cop Car

A 20-year-old Modesto man was arrested early Sunday after he allegedly sped and drove recklessly in Ceres and led Ceres Police on a short pursuit.

At 2:30 a.m. Officer Ross Bays was patrolling the area of Nadine Avenue and Stonum Avenue when he saw a blue 2016 Toyota FRS being driven recklessly and at a high rate of speed in a residential area. Bays observed the driver almost losing control at one point so he caught up to the vehicle and was able to get the vehicle stopped after a short pursuit.

Driver Victoriano Vega-Mandujano, 20, of Modesto was arrested for exhibition of speed, reckless driving, evading an officer with a motor vehicle and driving under the influence.
