A 24-year-old Modesto man was arrested early Friday for drunken driving after he was stopped in Ceres for vehicle code violations.

Saul Nunez was driving his black Honda Accord at 2 a.m. when Officer Mike Vierra stopped him at Mitchell Road and Joy Avenue. Nunez appeared to be intoxicated so Officer Vierra conducted a DUI investigation, which concluded with Nunez’s arrest for DUI and driving without a license. Nunez blew into a breathalyzer which gave a reading that he was twice the legal limit to legally drive.
